D.I.V.As Build Futures (DBF) is geared towards the empowerment and motivation of young girls to young women, ages 10-25. Creating safe & beneficial platforms for young girls stemming from all walks of life, to have productive ways on succeeding in every aspect of their career. Guiding them step-by-step on their growth and development helping them to understand their journey to have positive & permanent outcomes.
Using creative & sustainable workshops that are relatable for young girls growing into young women. Keeping them engaged, motivated, and encouraged in: Education, Health & Wellness, Self-Defense, Self-Esteem, Self-Image, Performing Arts, Home & Lifestyle, Finances, Entrepreneurship and more! Building our community up by creating more jobs and upstanding citizens. Showing them the importance of budgeting and building character. Bettering our community one Determined, Intelligent Virtuous Ambitious girl at a time!

Cynthia Ferguson has been dedicated to empowering women for as long as she can remember. She was born and raised in Dallas, TX and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1983. The majority of her career has been spent in the health care industry, working with some of the most prominent surgeons and specialists in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. As a strong advocate for women’s success, Cynthia has been actively involved in women’s empowerment and advocacy groups for over 15 years. From 2004-2006, she served on the Board of Directors of Angel’s R Us Outreach Center for Women and Children, working closely with the domestic violence division. In 2014, she founded and managed the Wolfettes Girls Empowerment Group, a program dedicated to the enrichment and empowerment of young women. Currently, Cynthia serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Divas Build Futures Inc. and as a school medic at Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy. Cynthia is a certified Life Coach and Mentor and a mother to two young men. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family by the pool.

Latese Williams has worked with A’sha Scott since the inception of DBF and helped write the Sisterhood Creed. In addition to her work with DBF, she has mentored youth since 1995 and taught Praise Dance for 3 groups. Currently, Latese serves as as a Leader of Youth department, operates a Puppet Ministry GBGB, works two jobs and is the mother to one son.
