Mentoring is a very important asset in our youth lives. Not only because of the knowledge and skills individuals can learn from, but also because mentoring provides professional socialization and personal support to facilitate success in everyone. Our Big Sister Mentor program provides understanding in education, options in recreation and support opportunities to our young ladies. Our DBF Jr mentor programs helps our members with leadership and understanding how to work with their peers through encouragement and accountability. This may challenge the mentee with new ideas and encourage the mentee to move beyond the things that are most comfortable.

There will be a mandatory volunteer/mentor workshop every 4th weekend of the month. Registration is required. No walk Ins. All volunteers and mentors are required to pass a background check. We ensure our youth & staff with the utmost safety, respect, honesty and confidentiality.

Sponsoring is the act of supporting events, activity, students, or help the organization thrive to provide the appropriate resources financially or through the provision of products or services. We are truly grateful for all our sponsors who have supported DBF’s vision and mission to change lives!
